Our people matter to us, and we are committed to supporting them and their wellbeing. Join us, and discover the beauty, diversity and uniqueness of Darwin and the Top End. About YouQualification in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling or another relevant field.Demonstrated experience as a Coordinator within in the Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) field.  Demonstrated experience working therapeutically with women, children, or families in a professional setting.Proven experience in the facilitation of group programs.Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the long-term impacts of trauma including violence, abuse and neglect on children and family functioning.Knowledge and understanding of trauma-informed practice including theories of child development, trauma theory and attachment theory.Demonstrated knowledge of the issues affecting women and children in Aboriginal communities and a capacity to respond to their emotional, physical and spiritual needs.Experience in mentoring and supervising Aboriginal staff and leading a small team.Ability to undertake professional and community liaison, networking, in partnership with internal and external stakeholders, the community, service providers and government agencies.Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve direct outcomes. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Capacity and willingness to travel to Remote Locations (e.g., Tiwi Islands).  RequirementsA satisfactory Northern Territory working with children checkA satisfactory national criminal history checkA commitment to our Safeguarding Children Practice and Behaviour GuidelinesApplications will be processed as received and only successful candidates will be contacted.
