You will provide effective, innovative and culturally appropriate therapeutic responses for children referred to the program. You will particularly support children who have been exposed to Domestic and Family Violence using trauma-informed, sensitive counselling and appropriate interventions. What we offer:  We provide a positive work culture and a diverse and inclusive environment. Our people matter to us, and we are committed to supporting them and their wellbeing.  Competitive Salary + 10.5% Super + Salary Sacrifice (up to $15,899 for tax free benefits and $2,650 p/a for entertainment benefits). Relocation support of $4000 + additional relocation assistance available, conditions apply. $3000 Professional Development allowance and 10 days study leave, pro rata. 5 weeks Annual Leave with leave loading + 3 days extra leave between Christmas and New Year.  EAP for employees and family members. $500 Wellbeing Allowance + 1 Wellness Day off, per person, per financial year. Cultural Fitness training. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Provide both onsite and outreach services that are innovative and culturally appropriate therapeutic responses for children who have been affected by Family and Domestic Violence.   Facilitate opportunities for whole of family interventions with parents and kinship carers focused on the impact these experiences have on the child. Link children and families from the target group to appropriate support services and networks. Provide opportunities for interventions with parents and family members focused on the impact that has on the child. As part of the Therapeutic Team, participate in the development of protocols and practice for service delivery, including referral and assessment tools.  Essential Qualifications and Experience:Qualifications in Psychology, Social Work or Counselling and demonstrated eligibility for or current membership of the relevant professional body or registration with AHPRA. Demonstrated experience in the delivery of counselling services to children using a whole-of-family approach on issues including complex trauma, grief and loss, and behavioural difficulties.  Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of trauma-informed practice including theories of child development, trauma and attachment theory. Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills including the ability to represent the program and organisation externally. Promote the program and RA-NT’s services through professional and community networking, presentations and other and promotional activities. Participate in regular Line Management and Supervision. How to apply:  To apply please submit a Cover Letter addressing the selection criteria (no longer than 1 page) and an up-to-date Resume including two Referees.
